Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, Takes Significant Steps Towards Quality Enhancement

Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, held its 63rd Management Review Committee (MRC) meeting on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, to discuss and implement strategies for further enhancing the quality of education and research.
The meeting, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr.Tauha Hussain Ali, welcomed new MRC members Prof. Dr. Qasim Ali Arain and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Anwar Solangi while acknowledging the contributions of outgoing members Dr. Naeem Mahoto and Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Shaikh.
Key decisions made at the meeting include:
• Confirmation of 63rd MRC meeting minutes:

The minutes of the previous meeting were formally approved.
• Follow-up actions:

The committee reviewed and addressed pending actions from previous meetings, with a focus on streamlining processes and improving student support systems.
• Internal and external audit reports:

The university is preparing for the 3rd Surveillance Audit scheduled on 21st to 23rd August 2024
• Customer satisfaction:

Recommendations for improving undergraduate and postgraduate student experiences will be implemented based on feedback analysis.
• Quality objectives:

Departments have been tasked with submitting achievement reports on their 2024 SMART Quality Objectives.
• Academic calendar:

The academic calendar for 2024-25 was approved, and the possibility of implementing a Campus Management System (CMS) was discussed.
