Mehran University of Engineering & Technology Maintains ISO 9001:2015 Certification Following Successful LRQA Surveillance Audit
Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET) is proud to announce the successful completion of its ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit, conducted by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) from August 21 to 23, 2024. The audit confirmed MUET’s adherence to international quality management standards, emphasizing the university’s commitment to continuous improvement, academic excellence, and quality performance in all activities.
The audit, led by LRQA auditor Inkesar Hussain, assessed various departments and management systems at MUET, with a focus on ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. The audit concluded with no major non-conformities, and the certification remains valid.
Key outcomes from the audit include:
- Strong leadership commitment to maintaining and improving the quality management system.
- Regular internal audits and management reviews, demonstrating active pursuit of continual improvement.
- Seamless communication with regulatory bodies, including the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
- High levels of student satisfaction as evidenced by feedback mechanisms.
The audit also highlighted the university’s dedication to establishing challenging objectives, enhancing the learning experience, and introducing innovative approaches to education and administration.

Looking forward, the university will continue to focus on quality enhancement and is scheduled for its next surveillance audit in February 2025.
